David Young is a Maine-bred songwriter currently based in Nashville. David began playing guitar at age 10 after growing up with the music of his grandfather and father slowly turning his ear to the instrument. From 2016-2020 he fronted the Maine-based Rock N' Roll band, David Young & The Interstate Kings. During this time David maintained a local following in the Pine Tree State. The Interstate Kings released a self-titled record in 2018, which was followed by various appearances on Maine radio and television, including The Nite Show and the popular broadcast, 207. In 2019 David relocated to Nashville to pursue songwriting and a career as an artist. David is currently active in multiple facets of the Nashville music scene, writing, recording, and performing both as a solo artist and as a bassist for the original band Ridge Banks and The Wall of Sound.
